And I thought the government was slow…
I’ve been silent the last two weeks, but I’m not dead, and I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth. I had some traveling I had to do, and otherwise have been working very diligently on BAD LAND’s sequel. Right now, I’m learning that publishing is a methodical and lengthy process. There are moments of sheer excitement (the deal, the contract, the first editorial letter) followed by weeks of nothing except, well, work.
And I’m fine with that. It was the work that got me to this point, so it’s nothing new and it’s where I’m most comfortable.
The weather around here is changing, and I’m looking forward to Spring finally arriving. This weekend I’ve been writing with my office window open, and it’s been great. I know everyone is digging out of feet of snow back east, but here in southwest Texas, it’s been in the 60s and 70s.
Soon, it’ll be time to crank up the pool!
